Scientific Publications
These pages list the scientific publications that I have
authored, reflecting the various projects and scientific
work I have participated in since I was an undergraduate.
My publications are organized by:
-
Publication Date:
All papers are listed on this page by the
years that the publications appeared in print.
-
Solar System Object: This listing sorts my
publications by the planet, moon, asteroid, or
type of solar system object that the science
of the paper concentrated on. This allows quick viewing
for all papers on Mar, for example.
For those unfamiliar with scientific publications,
scientists usually have their papers published in refereed
journals. The term "refereed" indicates that
a work has been evaluated and scrutinized by one or more
experts in the field, and was approved for publication.
This helps to ensure the quality of the science involved.
Scientific papers usually are written by multiple authors.
The "first author" is considered to be the
main author and is listed as the first name
in the reference. Co-authors are listed in the order
of their contributions from most to least after the first author.
